Dogs Across America

My kids have been nagging me to get a dog for years. I love love love dogs. But they’re a giant pain in the ass. Especially when you’re traveling. When I announced my trip across America, Isaac said, “Well you can’t go on a solo road trip without a dog.” I did anyway. Solo means solo. Also, John Steinbeck nailed it; I have nothing to add. However, I did meet many a lovely pooch along the way.

A pack of Chihuahuas guards the Liquor Store Motel in Ely, Nevada.

Got the message. Will not explore those sheds.
